I'm Seven Years Old Today!

Dear Elise,
Your Aunt Erin loves you very very much, but can you please stop this growing up thing? It's giving me the crazies. Thanks.

Personal notes now...

I love music,
I can honestly say it's saved my life more than once.
I've gone to many concerts but it takes a superior artist to make me emotionally react in public to live music...
at "Hungry Heart" I got teary eyed
at "Spirit In The Night" I was literally tears running down cheeks the whole song,
by the time we hit "Waiting On A Sunny Day" I was done...
Done,
Gone.
Swept. Up.
...in the music and feeling and story and emotion.
I was DONE
Springsteen is amazing live.
If you have never seen him live you simply have NO IDEA what I mean.
He isn't performing to a crowd of fans...

He's preaching from his pulpit to his congregation.

He is the Minister...
His backup singers and amazing E Street Band the Choir,

and the Audience...

We are simply the followers...
following every note,
every lyric,
every lick,
every beat...

Begging for Rock n' Roll forgiveness...

And asking for more...
MORE.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band live is 3 hours of REAL LIVE MUSIC.
No Autotune,
no fat old guys in suits writing your music,
no nameless musicians playing "your" songs.

No fake,
No bullshit,
No crap...

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band is what music was
what it needs to be now,
and what it always should be.

Forever and ever

Amen
