Flogging Molly @ Stage AE. May 10, 2012

(Half-assed) Set List

Half assed because I cannot find a set list online, and I sure as hell wasn't going to interrupt my concert viewing to write/type it out during, so it's out of order, and I probably missed something (or added something...I don't have a photographic memory...)

Drunken Lullabies
Rebels of the Sacred Heart
The Son Never Shines (On Closed Doors)
The Powers Out
Oliver Boys (All Of Our Boys)
What's Left of the Flag
If I Ever leave This World Alive
Black Friday Rule
Devil's Dance Floor
Swagger
Float
Seven Deadly Sins
Requiem for a Dying Song
The Worst Day Since Yesterday
Whistles the Wind
Life in Tenement Square
The Likes of You Again
The Times They Are A Changin' (Bob Dylan Cover)

The 2nd opening act was awesome.
The Devil Makes Three. Sort of AltCountry, hillbilly, rockabilly, ragtimey goodness.

"If You Can Feel What I'm Feeling Then It's A Musical Masterpiece"

Rest in Peace Adam "MCA" Yauch

I'm not sure why this particular celebrity death is making me as sad as it is...I love the Beastie Boys, that's not in question :)
I think it's the fact that their music has in some way been a part of my life for a very long time.
My brother was obsessed with them when License to Ill came out in 1986 so needless to say 8 year old ErinPatricia was introduced to them at an early age.
I clearly remember being in summer day camp at the YMCA in Plum, sitting in a room with counselors and other campers, making up new lyrics to Paul Revere for some kind of Day Camp Games.
I never got into Paul's Boutique till later in life, but Check Your Head came out as I was entering Highschool and Ill Communication was a constant companion on my drives from my place in new Jersey to my home in Pittsburgh.
Hello Nasty came along when I was looking for a change, newness, something better in my life, and some of those songs just highlight memories in my head of nights out with my friends. Epic sing-a-longs to Intergalactic, Body Movin' and Three MC's and One DJ...

47 years old.

Fuck you, Cancer,
