Christmas pt. 1: Loot
Blake is The Awesome
The wallet is from his mom and dad. It comes with a small digital picture frame inside.

Do you want Catch-up with them fries?
I'm back.
I knew if I bitched about my power cord that it would show up sooner.
This Christmas...Sucked.
Seriously.
Hard Core and Big Bad. Im glad it's over and it's just another reason for me to hate the holiday.
New Year's...Can't wait.
Heading out to Dormont to hang with Matt, Natalie Janelle and not sure who else. Going to go to the Apple Inn, then back to Nat and Matts place for fun and eventual passing out.
Sunday night we took the girls to see the windows downtown at Macy's. Pictures are forthcoming.

Letters to Santa
Dear Santa,
I would like a candy cane this year. Can I please have a toy too and Mommy says I need new pajamas. I have been a very good girl, I learned to use the potty this year.
Love Elise, age 3
Dear Santa,
I would like a candy cane and a toy too please. Can I have something fun to draw with. I love to draw. Mommy says I need new pajamas too. I have been a very good girl this year, Im learning to say my words and I use the potty like a big girl too! I even stopped puling on the cats tail.
Love Lydia, age (almost) 2
(I wrote their letters for them, then they "wrote" their own)
Pirates at the Chick-fil-A and failed attempts to share!
Sit down Grammy!
Plus!
Watch Lydia try to escape while Aunt Erin almost chokes on her Lemonade beacause of her laughing and failcold!

Fuck you very much
So yesterday I had a note in the mail that there was a certified letter waiting for me at the post office.
The sender line simply said "tax"
I thought it would be from the IRS, since I e-filed and they had to send me something to sign and send back to them for an official signature.
I simply thought that maybe something happened and they didn't get/lost the signed letter I sent back to them.
Oh no.
It's better than that.
I had a letter waiting for me stating that the Borough of Plum is going to garnish my wages to pay for taxes dating back to 2001.
With fees, interest, the actual tax ($10.00 I think) and penalties added in this equals almost $1,700.
I have paid this tax every year since I started working.
Its one of the first things I do when tax season rolls around.
I have been on the phone, been to the Borough office, argued with five million people and almost torn all of my hair out over this.
THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF ME PAYIING THIS TAX SINCE 2001!
And they won't budge on it.
So.
I'm fucked. My bank has not gotten back to me yet. And when this all started (2001) I was with a different bank, so I don't have any record from them yet.
The letter states they have to inform me 15 days before they start garnishing my wages ( which, since I am a huge loser with no car who needs to work very close to home, are shit (seriously, my paychecks every two weeks are under $400.00 add in bills and paying my mom for stuff, that leaves me very little to play with) means I don't make much in the first place) but the letter is dated ten! days ago. So that leaves me with 5 days to come up with $1,700 in full to pay off this bullshit means I'm fucked.
Fucked.
So possibly there goes seeing Blake during Mardi Gras, doing anything resembling a social life, all Christmas presents, and could also ruin my plans for summer.
So thank you Borough of Plum
Thank you so very much for failing one of your citizens.
And you wonder why people keep moving to Westmorland County.

Are you ready for some football?
Tonight I went to my first Regular Season Steelers Game
(THANK YOU JON!!!)
It was cold.
No wait
IT WAS FREEZING OMG SO COLD I CANT FEEL MY TOES!!!

But the crowd, all those towels waving, all that noise, so much black and gold everywhere.
Brought a tear to my eye and a giddy laugh to my lips it did.
3 interceptions!!
Troy! Ike Taylor! and Deshea!!!
NATE WASHINGTON OH HOW I LOVE TO HATE YOU AND HATE TO LOVE YOU!!!
Benny needs to stop being retarded, but once in a while that boy pulls out amazing plays...probably from his ass, but whatever works.
Heath Miller is love, and you couldnt see it under 2 layers but I was reppin' him Jersey wise
Not one, but TWO RENEGADES!!! OMFG ROCK!
Tony Romo sucks, T.O. is crying into the mic's now, and this sums it all up.

Thanksgiving Recap.
This was without a doubt the best ever but also most failtastic Thanksgiving EVAR!
Best ever because I got to spend it with Blake. Failtastic for almost everything else.
Sunday: Blakes flight is set to arrive @ 12:52pm. I get detoured off the parkway into the Detour From Hell at around 11:45. Keep in mind in real life Im only about half an hour from the airport at this point. I finally get to the airport to pick him up at 1:20. Yeah. Thanks PENNDOT. You fail.
But I got to come down that escelator into baggage claim and walk into him arms so instantly all anger and stress from gridlocked traffic was gone.
Finally. I had not seen him since July and I was happy.
We stopped at Uncle Sam's at The Pointe and grabbed lunch, geeked around in Half Price Books and then we hit up WallyWorld for some yogurt and drinks for the fridge in the room and went back to the hotel.
Monday: DeLuca's for breffast!! Chocolate Chip Pancakes FTW! I also took him to Eide's and The Pittsburgh Popcorn Company (omg yum) Then out to McKnight Rd for some shopping and finally we hit up the Waterfront Lowes for Twilight (check out the Week in Geek movie review we did )
After that I took him to Monroeville Mall so he could check out Toy Galaxy, one of my new fave stores...toys, collectibles, comis, and TONS OF ZOMBIE STUFF!!! He loved it, like I knew he would, and I picked up my Monroeville Zombies hoodie :)
Tuesday: Tuesday was cold and snowy, it became the unofficial stay in bed and watch movies day. We watched a few movies, ordered some pizza in and watched Casino Royale so we could later that night head out to see Quantum of Solace.Dinner at the Rivertowne Pourhouse and some of the last of their Pumpkin Spice Beer made the night complete. Did I mention it snowed... Blake loved the snow. Im sure if he moved here that would change after a while, but for now...he loves it.
Wednesday: OMG DIRECTION FAIL. lol
Blake wanted to head out to New Dimension Comics in McMurray and I love to drive so I had no problem with this plan. Till I realized I went the wrong way on 79 (the directions did not specify north or south) Once I figured this out I eventually got us where we needed to go, and NDC was a really nice shop. We also hit up Phantom of the Attic in Monroeville before we headed out to Buffalo Wild Wings for the Penguins game. My friends Janelle, Jon, Lindsey and Brian were there, and my brother and his wife showed up too. The Pens kicked ass and we had a great night.
Thursday: Turkey Day! Woke up early and watched the Macy's parade. I mocked Matt Lauer mercilessly while Blake laughed.
After another direction fail courtesy of my brother we headed out to the Westinghouse Castle in Wilmerding where my SIL and her mom were helping out with a community lunch dinner thing. It was really nice and the food was good and I got to see my girls.
After we ate my brother told us to come over to his house so we did. Lydia was asleep when we got there and my brother looked tired as hell so I told him to go take a nap and Blake and I would watch Elise.
I taught her how to make turkeys with her hand and we colored and watched Mickey Mouse and made fun of Blakes snoring when he succumed to his own turkey coma on the couch (ME: He snores just like your daddy dosent he? ELISE: He growls!) Pretty soon Lydia started crying so I had both girls to look after, which of course meant at some point it turned into 2 small girls tackling and jumping on Aunt Erin while Blake watched and laughed.
After that we went back to the hotel for the T-giving buffet. Blake, myself, my mom, brother, sister in law and the 2 girls. The food was really really good and its something I would definately do again if I didnt want to cook.
Poor Blake was left to deal with a screaming Lydia when Aunt Erin had to take Neice Elise to the bathroom last minute. Lydia stated screaming the moment I was out of her sight because Momma and Daddy and Grammy were all getting food and she had no flippin idea who this weird guy sitting next to her. Poor guy, he tried to comfort her but she was not having any of it. Dinner was great and we hit the room stuffed untill Blake realized he felt kind of crappy. Last minute run to WallyWorld again for cold meds and more drinks for the rooms mini fridge. Back to the hotel, again. Sleep followed quickly. Maybe not sleep, more like Turkey induced comas.
Black Friday sucked ass.
I had to work 8a-230p. Blake was supposed to take me in so he could meet some people at work but he felt crappy so I drove to work, missed him terribly, drove straight back to the hotel and threw myself into his arms as soon as I could. We had a date to meet his Uncle Scott at Center Ice in Delmont. Coinkydink time folks...Blakes Uncle lives in Cincy, Blake has not seen him since his sisters wedding 2 years ago and here he was, with his son Ryan, no more than 15 min away. We hit Center Ice and watched Ryans team, The Queen City Steam take down the Allegheny Badgers 1-0. And! it was Blakes cousin Ryan who scored the only goal. Plus we offically became the first ones in his family to see Ryan in a game so double cool.
Saturday, how I hate saturday. Blake had to leave me on saturday and I miss him so much. So so so so so much.
Spending time with him always makes me realize how much more myself I feel around him. I can act normal, more normal than I act even with my friends. I love him, more and more everytime we are together. Ill be joining him in Feburary for Mardi Gras, and I cant wait for the time we will be able to spend more than just a stolen week here and there together.
Not many pictures were taken this time around. sorry guys.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Blake and I are watching the Macys Thanksgiving Parade, and yes, we just got Rick Rolled.
We are heading out to my Sister in Law's church for a community lunch they are offering. Blake will get to meet Lydia and see Elise again, and Aunt Erin will get to see her girls on Turkey Day.
After that we will hit up the Thanksgiving Day buffet at the hotel, I told my mom I didnt want her cooking some massive dinner with all of the back problems she is having.
Its a non traditional dinner, but it will be yummy and I will be with some of the people I care about most.
I hope all 3 of you out there that read this have a wonderful holiday!

Blake is here and except for the fact that getting to him at the airport was HELL because PENNDOT is on crack everything is wonderful so far.
I'm going to take him to DeLuca's for b-fast today and probably hit up Eide's and other stuff in and around town. I think we have to take a trip out to McKnight rd for something, but Im not sure yet.
There will probably be pictures n stuff later.
And oh yeah, he's a better writer than me so read his stuff about the trip

How do you do it?
I hear that alot when people find out about my relationship.
It's a tad on the unconventional side.
In fact, according to Mapquest its 1128.13 miles of unconventional.
See, Blake lives in Louisiana, and I reside here in my 'Burgh
So often I hear from people "How do you do it?"
It always confuses me at first, that people seem so amazed that two people can be committed to each other and not live close, like distance automatically equals infidelity, or that somehow it's not real or serious or that its weird.
I wasn't looking to fall for him when I met Blake, I was in the last stages of a relationship that was down to one engine and spiralling out of the sky. I sent him a PM about his book (yes, we met online. please take your snickers outside) and we simply started talking, then Talking, then flirting (innocently enough I assure you) while in the real world my relationship was over amidst creepy discoveries, possible cheating and a lack of anything even remotely resembling affection. Blake became someone I looked forward to talking to online, and eventually a few months later I called him and we spent a very awkward time on the phone ( I was convinced he didn't like me) The next time we talked I think we spent 4 hours on the phone. Six months later he flew to Pittsburgh to meet me and 3 years later we have not looked back.
It's hard, I won't deny that. I hate being away from him. I often feel completely alone without the one person who I need more than any other. But we go on, we get by with our sporadic visits and all too fast moving weeks spent together. We go on knowing that at some point all of this pointlessness will be worth it when we can finally be together, for more than a week, together in the same place at the same time for the rest of our "as happily ever after as two people can possibly make it" lives.
Do I sometimes wish this situation was different? You bet, I'm not going to lie to you. Do I ever wish I was not with him? Never. Every second spent apart, every dreary moment spent without a hug or a snuggle when I need it, every second spent on the phone, every dime spent on travel is worth more to me in the long run than anything I have ever done in my life. Period.
Its now quarter to two in the morning. Blake will be here around 1pm. We will spend a week together and then he will have to depart back to Louisiana. We will be apart until February when I go down there for Mardi Gras and as much as every second apart hurts its all gonna be worth it when I find myself in an airport, wrapped in his arms.

Period.
