A Glimmer of Hope in a Darkened World (#3)
This was sent in the mail to the Thrift Store where I am currently doing time:
"Recently I was at your store. There was a metal step stool by your (donation) box outside. I took it. Please except this $10 for the cost of it. I didnt sleep well after I did that and am ashamed of my actions."
With the amount of shoplifting, both in store and after hours from in front of the donation boxes, and price switching that goes on in that store on a daily basis (guesstimating, probably a couple of humdred dollars a week in loss)it's nice to know that somewhere out there lives a person who feels bad about stealing from a charitable organization.
There is still some hope for humanity.
